Personal Information
Age: 58 years old. Born on November 5, 1947 , in Van Nuys , California . Raised in the San Fernando Valley which is about 30 miles north of Los Angeles . Served in the U.S. Army during 1968, 1969, and 1970. Spent time as a Drill Sergeant and as an Infantry Combat Platoon Leader in Viet Nam and Cambodia in the First Calvary Division Long Range Patrol.

Founder and Owner of Teague Custom Marine Inc., recognized as one of the country's leading high performance boating companies. Established in 1972. In addition to developing Teague Custom Marine, have served 23 years on the Los Angeles City Fire Department, 17 years as a Captain. Married to Andrea on January 31, 1976 . We have two children, Cherilyn, age 21, and John, age 18.

Experience and Accomplishments
Began boating and water skiing at the age of 8 years old. Have been an avid water skier and performance boater since. Have continually owned high performance pleasure, and race boats since the age of 17.For the past 36 years, I have vigorously pursued the development of my abilities in marine engineering, custom race and performance engines, rigging design, hull and set-up modification, and obtaining expert driving skills in all types of power boats. Continuous support and involvement with charity and community organizations, local and abroad.

Some of my related background and involvement include:
• 33 years as an APBA Racing Member
•35 years active and successful participation in Offshore racing, in classes ranging from Open to Production "A". Simultaneous involvement and participation in several other professional racing classes associated with endurance, marathon, and special event boat racing.
• Participated in establishing several Offshore endurance speed records, including San Francisco to Los Angeles , Los Angeles to San Francisco, San Francisco to Long Beach, San Felipe to La Paz,and Canada to Mexico, and Pucasana to Ancon in Peru.
• Participated as a racing member of the Nordskog Race Team from1971 to 1992.
• Managed and maintained several offshore race teams, and ski racing teams. Responsible for establishing several world speed records. Our teams have earned numbers of Divisional, National, and World titles.
• Have raced as throttleman with several teams, including Offshore Classes "A", "B", Factory I, Factory II, Modified, Super Vee, Extreme Vee, Super Cat, Super Cat Light, and Outlaw. Currently building a new OSS Cat Lite race boat to be campaigned as part of the AMF team.
• Have won numerous races and titles in Divisional, National, and World Competition
• Past APBA Offshore Racing Commissioner, Western Division
• Past APBA Offshore Racing Technical Committee Member, and Inspector.
• Past Professional Racing Owners' Powerboat Series (PROPS) Commissioner.
• Past President (1992-1998), and current Executive Advisor to The Board, Pacific Offshore Powerboat Racing Association. Currently serving on POPRA Board. Have produced and assisted in production of several hundred boat racing events.
• Founding Board Member Offshore Super Series.
• Member, APBA Hall of Champions
• Offshore Class "B" Western Division Champion, and 2nd place in World Championships, 1994.
• Offshore "B" 2nd place in WesternDivision in 1995, and 3rd place in Modified Class in World Championship.
• 1996 Overall High Point Champion Pacific Offshore.
• APBA Inboard Endurance Commissioner, 1986-1991.
• National High Point Champion, Grand National, 1985 and 1988.
• Grand National World Champion, 1992.
• Developed and built the record setting and National Champion engines and installation set up for Nigel Hook's Citgo Scarab, as well as the previous record holding "A" class Scarab.
• Developed and built the record setting and National Champion engines for Rique Ford's Raga Muffin Modified and Offshore “D” Class Skaters.
• 1999 and 2000 Super Vee Western Division Champion
• 1998 Vapor Trails Super Vee Thottleman of the Year.
• 1999 and 2000 Super Vee Class Champion, Pacific Offshore Pro Series.
• 1999 World Championships, 2nd Place in Super Vee Class.
• 1999 World Championships, 3rd Place in Factory II Class.
• 2000 High Points Champion Super Vee in Western Division
• 2002 World Endurance Record from Naplo to Ancon in Peru
• 2003 World Endurance Record from Naplo to Ancon in Peru (increased average speed to 107+ MPH)

• 37 years extensive experience in design, development, engineering, construction, and building Offshore and endurance racing boats, system components, and all types of marine high performance and racing engines.
• Manufacturer of all types of custom rigging and installation hardware including marine exhaust and muffler systems.
• Current Technical Editor, Powerboat Magazine.
• Official Chief Test Driver, Powerboat Magazine Performance Reports and Evaluations.
• Test and evaluate various manufacturer's boats on a daily basis in conjunction with Teague Custom Marine operations.
