I John Arruda at age 29 began working on Turbines as a hobby in 1999 while performing my duties as a 100 ton licensed yacht captain. While performing these duties, I was planning on opening a charter business for ultra high performance boats. I believed the charter business would be a hit, it would also give me the opportunity to own and operate the high performance boats that I desired to own and operate at that time.

When the charter business was founded and became successful, some of my clients with the same desire for speed became interested in the turbine projects that I was working on in my small shop at night. After some persuading, one of my clients talked me into converting his boat from gas to Turbine power.

I accepted the offer to show off my ideas, and Turbine Marine Inc. was born. After word got out, and people saw how the boat was turning out, work came pouring in. Within 6 months of the first project; I was too busy converting boats to turbine power that I gave up the charter business all together.

Now 6 years in the making, two hand full of skilled individuals and I have propelled Turbine Marine Inc. into the leader and most innovated turbine boat Builder Company in the world. This and many other accomplishments have all been made possible working with great organizations like AMF Offshore Racing and all their dedicated people.
