I am originally from Long Island , NY and have resided in West Palm Beach since 1998. I retired from the New York City Police department in 1991. My last 2 years with the NYPD were spent in the detective division. I was assigned to the Brooklyn North Homicide Squad and involved in numerous major investigations that drew massive media attention.

In 1998, after relocating my family to Florida , I was offered a position with the Palm Beach County division of Emergency Management, where I was the Assistant Operations Manager from 1998 through 2003. Some major events during my tenure were the 2000 Presidential Election Recount and the Anthrax contamination and murder at the AMI building in Boca Raton immediately after 9/11. I have attended numerous emergency management and homeland security courses including training in response to weapons of mass destruction incidents, give by the Louisiana State University. I am now employed by Palm Beach County Fire rescue; I have a total of 25 years experience as a Firefighter/EMT and Chief of the Uniondale , NY Fire Department. I am also a state licensed Private Investigator.

I love being part of the AMF team. The excitement and camaraderie associated with this team and the sport of offshore racing is nothing short of incredible, It has so far been one of the most enjoyable and exciting events in my life. I have never “worked so hard and had so much fun in my life.” It's a humbling experience to be in the presence of the top offshore racers and crew in the world.

In the past I have coached youth baseball and lacrosse. I also do volunteer work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association through my union work. I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing woodworking and photography. I also LOVE to Bar-B-Q. I have been married to my wife Joan for 21 years and have 4 children; Carlene 19, Stephen 17, Caryn 15 and Stephanie 12.
